What up everyone?

As the Hip-Hop director and all the power that this position comes with, I have made this thread to try and get anyone who spins hip-hop to be on the same page.

I have quite a few college radio promotions contacts in the hip-hop area and as I ramp back up with charts and spinning new music we can start benefitting from new/free music in the station. If you have any labels that you want to hit up, please drop them in here so we can figure out the best way to get music from them to increase the hip-hop that is on file in the station.

I will also post any new adds in here as I get them. If anyone has ideas for better organization that would be great.

If you would like your show info to be updated on this page, please let me know. Tracks you think should be added to the player? Same thing.

Does anyone want a folder on the desktop with these tracks? I don't know what to do with the Mp3s I get since few people are sending CDs/Vinyl anymore. Or not yet at least.

You wanna start making legal IDs for KSDT? I miss the random ones we had at KCPR of like Bjork, Lady Sovereign and that old drunken Eastern European dude with the real heavy accent.

That's something the DJs doing interviews should try out, just getting more drops.

hahaha nah man the best one was the Iron Sheik (an old WWF wrestler).... oh it was hilarious... my friends would call me just to request I would play that!

But yeah more drops!

Which means we need to come up with a drop template to send out for requests. I mostly know only of hip-hop labels, but perhaps we can get other e-mails from the MDs? What do you think?

Sorry I was a bit distracted at the show yesterday... too much on my mind trying to keep track of what I'm playing and carry on conversations. Good talking with you though, let's move forward with more IDs and building up hip-hop on KSDT.

Haha I've heard 914 with Styles P and Jada (I think), Questions with the cat from Worldwide and one other one that I can't recall right now. I have a friend who got the album yesterday and said it was real solid.

I keep ignoring the one with Dipset though... Jim Jones shouldn't be rapping over garbage can percussion type beats, let alone a PR gem.
