The Sully Band and The Aquadolls Team Up for Charity
Hana Tobias

This Friday (April 7), local group The Sully Band will team up with The Aquadolls for a charity show at Belly Up in benefit of Team Chase.

Founded in 2014, Team Chase honors the memory and spirit of Chase Boyd, who passed away that same year from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. NBA legend Bill Walton and his wife Lori, Lance Weir of Challenged Athletes Foundation, and Chase’s parents, Andy and Caroline Boyd, created the organization to support and empower people with physical disabilities.

The Sully Band (voted Best Live Band at the San Diego Music Awards) is a 10-piece group fronted by TV/radio personality Robert “Sully” Sullivan and comprised of Grammy-winning musicians from across the globe. The band released their debut album Let’s Straighten It Out! last month, which debuted on the Billboard R&B chart at #3 and hit #2 on the Roots Music Report. The Sully Band also serves as the house band for KUSI’s On the Air San Diego.

Alt-pop group The Aquadolls—composed of Melissa Brooks (vocals/guitar), Jacqueline Proctor (drums), and Keilah Nina (bassist)—are joining up with The Sully Band at Belly Up before embarking on a headline North American tour (see dates here). The group is gearing up to release their third studio album Charmed, with their first single “Sneaky” released on March 3.
